Privacy policy

Last updated 30 October 2026. This covers the Stickless website (stickless.ai) and the Stickless Chrome extension.

What we keep

• Your account: email address, display name, and either a password hash or your Google account ID if you sign in with Google. We never store your password itself.
• Your boards: the notes, comments, files and settings you and the people you share boards with create.
• A sign-in cookie, so you stay signed in. We use no advertising or tracking cookies and no analytics.
• A count of AI use per account (time, feature, model, size and cost) so we can apply plan limits. Not the content.

The Chrome extension

The extension reads a tab only when you click its button and press the button to send. It then reads the selected text or the page's main text, the PDF that is open, or the text of the open Google Doc, using your own Google session. It sends that content, with the page title and link, to your Stickless account to make notes on the board you chose. It saves your last board, number of notes and server address in Chrome's own storage. It does not read your browsing history or any tab you have not clipped.

AI processing

When you use an AI feature, including clipping with the extension, the content is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to write the notes. Anthropic processes it under its commercial terms and does not use it to train models. We keep the resulting notes on your board, not the raw page text.

Who else sees your data

Only people you share a board with, and the services that run Stickless: Replit (hosting and database), Anthropic (AI features), Google (sign-in, if you choose it) and Gmail (account emails). We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not use it for advertising or credit decisions.

Your choices

You can delete notes and boards at any time. To delete your account and everything in it, or to get a copy of your data, email stickless.ai@gmail.com and we will do it within 30 days. You can remove the extension from Chrome whenever you like.
